- Intermediate Facebook:
- This class is for those who already have business pages but want to learn how to get more out of Facebook. We will discuss the Facebook algorithm (how Facebook decides what shows and what doesn’t); how to get more followers; integration with other platforms, such as Twitter; and how to run Facebook ads and boost posts. I will answer specific questions and address issues you have had with your Facebook Business Page.
- You must have computer experience and be able to use the Internet.
- Bring the username and password for your Facebook Business Page.

- Intro to Twitter
- Learn how to use Twitter for your business. In this class we will create Twitter accounts, learn how to tweet, and learn how to use hashtags.

- WordPress
- Learn how to manage your WordPress website. Learn about updates, blog posts, and page creation.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Have you heard the term SEO or search engine optimization and want to learn more about what it is and how it affects your website? In this course we will discuss what SEO is and how it affects your online business. I will define the terms often used and explain some of the basic steps you can take to improve your website and social media organic SEO. This class is good for anyone who has an online presence and wants to improve their SEO or anyone who is looking to get a website for their business so that they have the vocabulary to get what they need from their web developer.
- Open Discussion
- In this open discussion class. We will ask and answer questions as a group so that everyone can learn from one another. I will also review all previous classes.

LinkedIn for Professionals
LinkedIn is widely used as a professional online résumé. It can be used to promote yourself, find work, or promote your business. We will create LinkedIn accounts, set up personal profiles, explore groups, and discuss company pages. Please bring a digital picture of yourself as well as bio information or a resume. LinkedIn Profiles will be filled in with your name, contact information, past employment and current employment, or company information. You can either bring a flash drive with the needed information or email it to yourself so you can access it in the computer lab.

Intro to Instagram: Thursday, April 6, 2017 5:30-8pm
Get started with Instagram! We will download the app, create an account, set up a profile, and start learning how to use the app. There will be an overview of the many ways to share photos and videos, use hashtags, and connect directly with your customers. We will also discuss how to create compelling content that will engage viewers and spark conversations.
Prerequisites:
- You must have a smartphone.
- You must have access to email.
This class is at the Santa Fe Community College
Intro Facebook for Business: Thursday, March 23, 2017 5:30-8pm
In this class we will get your business started with a Facebook Business page. In the first class, we will set-up a Facebook Business page, discuss the differences between Facebook personal pages and business pages, and add your company information. We will also cover the basics of how Facebook works.
In the second part of class we will cover how to post, add photos, videos, and create links. We will also begin discussing how to get likes and what to post to interest your followers.
You must bring to the first class:
- Headshot, logo, or product images.
- Written description about your business.
- You will also need access to your email account and Facebook personal page.
You can either bring a flash drive with the needed information or email it to yourself so that you can access it in the computer lab.

Facebook for Business – Tactics and Techniques
Set-up your Facebook Business Page and learn how to cross-promote and optimize.
This class is for those that do not have their Facebook business page set-up or maybe haven’t been able to complete the set-up process.
We will begin the class by setting-up a Facebook Business page, discussing the differences between Facebook personal pages and business pages, and adding your company information. We will also cover the basics of how Facebook works: postings, photos, videos, and links. We will also begin discussing how to get likes and what to post to interest your followers.

In the class, we will create Pinterest accounts, discuss the general parts of Pinterest, and create our first boards. We will end the class with practice adding pins, and create boards. Most important, we will spend time discussing what to pin and how to get followers.

Advanced Mailchimp for Business:
This class is for those who already have a Mailchimp account and want to learn how to use it more effectively. We will briefly cover campaigns and templates. The focus of the class will be the more advanced aspects of Mailchimp, such as groups, segments, reports and discussions on the who and what to send to your customers. Bring specific questions you have about your Mailchimp account and we will try to address them.

Google Analytics
Use Google Analytics to learn if your marketing efforts, strategies and advertising are increasing your website traffic and online business. Google Analytics is a code that you can get from Google for free and install into your website. Google then tracks all your visitors so you can see how long they stay on your site, what pages they visit, and where they are located. You will be able to use that information to know if there are issues with your site and if marketing strategies are working. You will also discover ways to increase your web traffic. This class is geared toward those with Google Analytics who want to learn how to use it or have a website and want to learn how Google Analytics can help.

E-newsletters for business with Mailchimp
Come learn the basics of Mailchimp for business. E-newsletters allow you to stay in touch with your customers to let them know about sales, specials, new products, events, and in general, a reminder that you are still around. We will set up accounts, add contacts, and set up and design a template for your future mailings. This class is geared towards those with little or no knowledge of Mailchimp who want to learn how to send e-newsletters. You must have some computer experience, be able to use the Internet, and have access to an email address. Mailchimp is a free online program for users with fewer than 2,000 emails.

You can bring the items on a flash drive or email them to yourself so you can access them from the computer lab.
